A new study by scientists at the University of Leeds, UK showed that using insulin in the treatment of diabetes often causes side effects such as narrow blood vessels which lead to heart disease.

However, a substance called C-peptide may become a "companion of insulin," eliminates side effects during treatment.

In a report published in the journal Diabetes latest issue, the researchers said, to control high blood sugar of diabetics, basically all applicable treatment is insulin.

However, insulin often causes some cells to blood vessels grow excessively, causing the blood vessels to narrow, which can cause serious consequences such as heart disease.

The scientists discovered simultaneously injected with insulin C-peptide substance can avoid the side effects of treatment with insulin.

Dr. Karen Porter charge of the team, said in a healthy human body, at the same time injecting insulin and C-peptide substances may help prevent side effects associated.

However, before we are often not aware of their effects, so it was not for C-peptide substance in the preparation and production of insulin.

Research shows that, at the same time using both insulin and C-peptide substance can help better control of symptoms related side effects of the disease. /.
