The Symptom of type 1 diabetes

Define

Type 1 diabetes (diabetes), sometimes known as juvenile diabetes or insulin-dependent diabetes, is a chronic condition in which the pancreas produce little or no insulin, a hormone needed to allow sugar (glucose) into cells for energy production. Type 2 diabetes is more common, occurs when the body becomes resistant to the effects of insulin or does not make enough insulin.

The different factors may contribute to type 1 diabetes, including genetics and exposure to certain viruses. Although Type 1 diabetes usually occurs in childhood, it can develop at any age.

Although the research activities, Type 1 diabetes has no specific treatment, but it can be managed. With proper treatment, people with Type 1 diabetes can live long, healthy lives than in the past.

The symptoms

There are signs of type 1 diabetes and the symptoms can come quickly and can include:

Increased thirst and frequent urination. When excess sugar builds up in the bloodstream, fluid is pulled from the tissues. This can be thirsty. As a result, you can drink and urinate more than usual.

Increased hunger. Without enough insulin to convert sugar into the cells and organs become depleted of energy. This triggers intense hunger may persist even after eating. Without insulin, glucose food never reaches the lack of energy in the tissues.

Weight loss. Despite eating more than usual to relieve hunger, but can lose weight - sometimes rapidly. If there is no power supply lines, and the muscle tissue simply can shrink fat.

Tired. If the cells are deprived of sugar, can become tired and irritable.

Blurred vision. If the blood sugar level is too high, the fluid can be obtained from the tissues - including the translation of the eye lens. This may affect the ability to see clearly focused.

Consult your doctor if concerned about diabetes or if you notice any signs of type 1 diabetes and symptoms.
