The Canadian scientists have discovered the cheapest method to produce insulin.

This finding could significantly reduce the cost of treating diabetes - diseases are costing the world each year to 132 billion dollars.

To create "Insulin pasture" Cheap, scientists at the University of Calgary was "implanted" an artificial insulin gene into the safflower plant. When this gene in operation, safflower will start producing insulin faster than traditional methods were conducted on pigs, cows, yeast or bacteria.
Plants used for extraction of safflower insulin.
This is the first time that a plant can produce insulin, and the production of this very powerful place, about 4,000m 2 will flower with "yield" to nearly 1 kg of insulin.

Thus, only 6475 ha are planted safflower can extract enough insulin for the entire people with diabetes in the world.

Insulin is a hormone secreted by the pancreas to the effects of carbohydrate metabolism. Insulin also has metabolic effects of adipose tissue and liver ATP provide energy for the body's living activities. It is the main ingredient for the treatment of diabetes.
